Smoking Monkeys.co.uk

Apologies for just dropping this brief blog onto your screens, but I would just like to point out a slight irony of this site. If (as many of you seem to have done) you go to Google and search for the “Best Solicitor in Manchester”, you will find this humble portal somewhere on the front page. I have even found it in the top spot (apart from all those naive fools who pay for sponsored listings).

I’m sure that my innocent and pure readership will never have been in such a situation, but have you ever watched a roulette wheel spinning? The way it rotates, seemingly forever as you wait in hope for your number to come up. Finally it bounces between the final few numbers, and you dejectedly sigh in abject disappointment that you were nowhere near.

Smoking Monkeys Blog

There are many times that TechnoScouse will begin to talk about things, and I’ll just switch off. Updating me on what has (or usually hasn’t) happened in The Hills for example, or why it’s necessary to buy whitening toothpaste and new shampoo every week. Still buzzing with rediscovered for the art of blogging, I thought I would go to the tried and tested review of today’s papers. I then had a scout around, and thought it far better to review just one paper’s output for the day. I may even make this a regular thing, rotating between the finest publications of du jour (as they probably miss-spell in France).

This week, I am proud to be reviewing the Mail on Sunday. By way of introduction, its probably fair to say that the Mail tends to have a pro-Conservative/anti-Labour flavour… all with fervent support of what makes Britain Great (and loathing for anything that could in any way undermine it).

smoking monkeys blog

Tis the time of year where I tell myself that I will resurrect this blog, and contribute on a more frequent basis. Don’t worry though, because the other tradition of me totally ignoring such ambitions and going back to arsing about on ebay will follow as surely as night follows day.

There are actually a few things I’ve already thought of to write about though, so perhaps 2009 may be the start of some serious hardcore blogging.
